Picture says it all

As you can see the shine is like a mirror. It's my pride and joy. When I moved here the sink was gross, it was dirty, gritty and I didn't even want to put dishes in it. I have a dishwasher but it would take a week or more to fill it so I unplugged it and use it to store pots and pans on the bottom and tea towels on top. I spent what seemed like hours every day polishing the sink over and over until I knew I could put my makeup on by just looking into the sink. I don't do that, but I could. It takes lots of elbow grease. Use gloves the black gets under your nails and in the skin. Use a rag you are going to throw away, it will never come clean or near usable. It's easier to let dry, then wipe off with paper towels, when wiped off-take a soft rag and buff to shine. Now, to keep the shine every day it requires one simple thing most people refuse to do, after turning the water off take an old tea towel and wipe out the sink until dried. Takes less than 10 seconds. Also, by doing this I only have to touch up a few scratches every few months.
